Hanasaki is one of Yugi's friends from the beginning of the manga, he stands just a few centimeters taller than Yugi, and is one his classmates.

I brought him into one of my fanfics as a main character and felt the need to draw him as I was imagining him. You see, I figure after a few years that he would have done some growing. He's not much taller but, like Yugi, he no longer has a child's body.

Since he never appeared in either of the animes and there was no official color artwork done of him that I've ever found, I had to come up with a color scheme of my own.


You'll be seeing a bit more of him in my gallery and in a few of my fanfics. He's such a sweet character I just had to bring him back. ^_^


Hanasaki first appeared in Volume 1: Chapter 3 (Hard Beat!), later on he had a brief appearance in Chapter 6 (Burning Struggle to the Death). He became friends with Yugi-tachi in Volume 3: Chapters 22 & 23 (American Hero) and is the one waiting with Yugi's grandfather in the hospital in Volume 5: Chapter 36 (A Ruthless Final Battle). After that though, he just disappears from the series.

For some reason, Hanasaki wasn't in the Shadow Game OVA series (aka Season 0) even though he should have been.
